Friday Night....Sunday Schedule

Played a few tourneys last night starting at 8. Went deep in a few micro tourneys including 28th or so in the $11 10 min level on Stars, 30th in the 3re on Tilt, also cashed in the 28k on Tilt. Those little cashes basically covered my night.

Highlight of the night was making the final table of the $9.9 360max on Stars. Stack fluctuated a lot in this tourney but I piked up a few chips short handed with 2 tables left after being 8/11ish, going into the ft with a top 3 stack.

This was the bust hand that put me out in 4th, nothing I could do. Made $260 for my efforts.

I was 2/5, with the CL to my left. Pick up QQ in the sb, button is short, shoves about 12 bets, i repop my 20 bets, and the bb, cl, wakes up with KK.

Sunday I'm going to play about 25 tourneys starting around noonish, everything on tilt and stars 26-109fo.

Wednesday Night Poker

Decided to put in a tourney session tonight since I have hockey tomorrow and will be going home on Friday for the weekend. I'll be off til Sunday so I fired up the tables and...

Had a few small cashes...best being 30th in the Stars 10(1+1), 27th in the 3re on Tilt for likeeee 60, and the 28k on Tilt? I think...anyways, got deep in the 32k tonight.

To summarize, the only strong familiar guy at the table, cmoney3, went out in 6th and I held the CL 5-handed which should have had me on cruise control for a HU match. Then I picked up this hand...vs. the worst player at the table and my prejudice against him got to my head and this mistake cost me a lot of dough.

When he fires the second bullet on the turn, I should fold as he is obviously representing a strong hand. There would have been better spots with two short stacks but oh well, live and learn. I've had a sick couple days and I know I'm not going to win every tourney. Just going to keep remembering the mistakes I make ensuring that it doesn't happen again.

As I stated yesterday, for dramatic effect, a screenshot of the (disappointing) lobby

Time to Update!

I was just going to give up on this thing but I'll try once more to update it frequently...it could probably keep my game in check. I'd post some hands but if I'm playing I usually have at least 6 tables running and the only way to remember to go back and find hands would be to write down when and where they happened.

Anyways...I'm done with AP for good. I cashed my 50k rp's out and my money. I have another rakeback payment coming for last month which I'll also move. There is no traffic in the micro tourneys nor the sngs...so there is nothing there for me.

Before this weekend...I had been playing ok poker, had one good cash and a bunch of smaller ones that had me well above the positive line.

This past weekend, I played 3 tourneys late Saturday night and none on tilt. One of my favourite tourneys so far since moving over to stars is the $11 1re+1a. I've cash in it several times and this time I took it down. I have been playing well recently and told Kamil on Wednesday of last week that I would take something down Sunday(didn't know I'd be playing Saturday night ;) )I had a ridiculous CL going into the final table and ran it over. I played really well and the cards were coming too.

Sunday I put in a full day with my degen buddy Brent(this guy final tables a tourney every time he fires up a sesh, watch out rankings) who i can credit for the significant improvement I've noticed in my game over the past six weeks. Played probably 20-30 tourneys and got deep in the 9.5KO(which btw, I called I'd take down jokingly when it popped up to start because I was rattled having busted out of two tourneys quick). I took 3rd, losing QJ

I will take screenshots of the lobby's next time for effect haha

Sunday Play - Week 2

I didn't run horrid today! Things might be turning around after a brutal downswing the past couple weeks in MTTs. I played 9 tourneys yesterday and had 3 cashes. I played pretty well this evening after my buddy played the majority of my first couple tourneys because I was busy cleaning up and he loves playing since he only plays playchips online haha.

Anyways, I lost as many races as I won but that happens and that's why they're called races. I finished up about $85, which debatable should have been much much more as I came close to a nice score but it still counts as a 75-100% roi on the day which I cannot be unhappy about.

Edit: here are the stats....1 final table, $115.9 on buyins, $202.27 in prizes for a 75% roi

Feb Stats

Here are the cash stats from Pokerstars for the month of February and a graph...want to get in a feeeew more hands this month.

Here are my sharkscope numbers that are mainly from this past month...at least half the games anyways and this thing wouldn't be interesting if it didnt have any numbers :)

F AP, hello Stars, March Goals

The only reason I still have any money at AP is because I have like 48xxx ARPs and need 50k to cash them out for $$. I've played a couple $5 donkaments on there and lost in the first 5 mins with something ridiculous happening like a 2 or 3 outter. On the bright side, Kamil has been pwning this 3re and 5fo's the past couple days and been doing well on stars too! Good think we haven't been doing last longers for shits!

Anyways, as soon as I get those points, I won't be back on AP. Traffic is low, that whole scandal thing happened(never really bothered me because I wasn't affected but it IS ridiculous from a business standpoint) and most importantly...traffic is low! There are so many more people on Stars at the NL25 and 50, sure still a lot of bad players obv but the overall play is better which reduces variance for a guy like me AND I'm doing much better against them so I'm happy.

Anyways....I just sorta thought of this now and might add to it but March's goals are:

1. Make a $1000 from NL25 only
2. Hit a 4-figure score in a multi
3. Gym, gym gym
4. Figure out if I'm going to be in school this summer to finish or working and coming back

Well, got back from spending the night in Toronto. Put in some cash time on Friday and did very well.

Play a couple hundred hands of both NL50 and NL25...we might as well post a hand from NL50 because the bigger the money, the better

Moving along to Sunday, played 5-8 mtts on Stars today. Had two cashes...I can't remember which the first was in, will update with stats once they're on OPR.

The 11cubed went really well, 900 players, I played solid for the first 3 hours. Made one small mistake looking for a race when I opened in EP with 66 and ran into a short stack with 10s. Had a set of 5s beat a set of 3s, we both flopped it and I stacked him for a big pot. Around the bubble, I was sitting top 10 and the CL raised it in the sb. He was playing aggressively and I opted to flat call with AJos. The board was a very harmless 944, he tried to lightly check raise me on the flop, I put in a nice size 3-bet and he folded.

Anyways, things got super cold, I made my usual crucial mistake late....when I was re raised preflop by a very bad player I had been with for hours, he raised just more than 2x which a donkey begging for action with a monster would do. I did not take the time to thoroughly think the hand through, he put out a 1/4 bet on the low flop x x x, he was short and it was fold or shove. I chose to shove, too fast, and he snap called with AA obviously.

I was far from crippled even after that pot, but did not get a playable hand for the next 30-45 minutes and with 19 players left, shoved K10 on the button into AQ. 18th place would have paid $100 for my efforts but I was down to 8bbs-ish and needed to shove. Oh well.

Stats to be added tomorrow.

Finally, Kamil and I decided to play the $5 1K on AP at 1am. 5 hands in......hehe, bed time anyways, but I def. managed to get it all in with the best!

No better way to start a blog....

than with some bad beats! Some stats too from this week. Been playing a lot since we have the week off from school. Think we're suppose to be 'reading' on reading week but hey, whatever.

The good news is I'm up a bunch running a heater on stars playing NL50 and NL25....really for a couple hundred bucks. As soon as I get my poker tracker fixed I'll have some numbers of actually interest on here.

Also, I've played the daily 15k with 2500-3000 people the past 2 days...taken 48th and 180ish which was obv. for no cash but hey, it's a decent result. I've also played a few other 11 and 5.50 mtt's on stars with several similar results...cashing in 3/4 of those I think, nothing big though. I'm playing pretty well so hopefully we'll go deep 1 timeeee soon :)

So, on party they have these steps...buy in to step 1 is $3, buy in to step 6 is 500 and it finally actually pays out.

Long and the short is I played a bunch, get a dozen step 2's or so and decide to go with it and being only realistically optimistic that maybe I can get 1-2 shots at step 6 and make a cash.

Here we are, Step 5 ticket number 1, playing yesterday. Get to 5 handed and the blinds are ridiculous so only the poker gods can control what happens from this point on but a double up would have been nice here....**obv side note is this is a $170 sng so kinda a big deal for a dinky low limit guy like me!

Anyways, my fault I was short and in that position but I'm not calling half my stack, lotto blinds or not with Q high because he can find much better spots than that in the next 10 hands, 2 orbits....then the way the hand played out makes you want to puke

SO

on we go back down to step 4 right away, this is the closing hand of that one...standard cooler, nothing special...but as a chain of events, sucks big donkey balls. Also, there is lots of space to fill here....

obv. note is again, I'm ss and he isnt folding here, he is just raising in position and with the blinds at what they are, I can't blame him for raising an ace on the button, and my move is risky at best but I had a read, had no chips left and had to giver, ah well.

Intro

Just setting this blog up now because everyone else is doing it and I'm a follower. I'll be posting stats and some hands just to keep my game in check.

I'm dupie20 on stars, dupie on AP and Full Tilt. I play low limit donkey level poker including NL50 6max and below, SNGs...primarily turbos and dabble in MTTs now on stars...generally anything under $22.

Enjoy!
